Fumagillin Description
Fumagillin is a polyene mycotoxin abandoned from Aspergillus fumigatus in 1951 as a almighty antiprotozoan for the analysis of amoebiasis. More recently, fumagillin has been apparent to arrest endothelial corpuscle admeasurement and angiogenesis.
Fumagillin is acrid in ethanol, methanol, DMF or DMSO. Poor baptize solubility.
Fumagillin inhibits endothelial corpuscle admeasurement and angiogenesis by inhibiting methionine aminopeptidase-2 (MetAP-2).
