Cefanone
Product description:The in vitro activity of cefanone against gram-negative pathogens was compared with that of cephalothin, cephaloridine, and cefazolin. Cefanone was slightly more active against Escherichia coli, Klebsiella and Enterobacter and definitely more active against Providencia than the other three cephalosporins. Cefanone was administered to nine patients with a variety of acute bacterial infections. The mean peak serum level after a 1.0 gm injection was 70 [mu]g/ml. Neither local nor systemic side effects occurred and all patients were cured.
