Relative density (d435) 1.0700. Soluble in ethanol, ethyl ether, glycerin, propylene glycol, most of the volatile oil and mineral oil, insoluble in water. Natural product contains in basil oil (52%), galangal oil and cassia leaf oil etc.Used to set incense spices industry as agent, used to allocate carnations, Oriental floral fragrance, used for soap, detergent, also used to flavor agent and pastries. As intermediates in organic synthesis, mainly for the pharmaceutical industry.
