Product description:White needle crystal. 67.8 68.3 ℃ melting point, boiling point 282 ℃, 124 ℃ (1.6 kPa), relative density 1.194 (20/4 ℃), the refractive index of 1.5168. Soluble in methanol, ethanol, insoluble in water.By isophthalic acid and methanol esterification. Isophthalic acid, methanol, sulfuric acid mixing heating, reflux 20 h. Reaction after the recovery of methanol, reactant neutralization with sodium carbonate solution to the pH value of 7-8, filtration, drying, for a quick finished product.Used for synthesis of isophthalic acid diphenyl ester, as PBT, heat resistant polymer monomer, used for other organic synthesis, as gas chromatographic stationary liquid.
