Product description:Gray crystallization or block, easy deliquescence.Insoluble in carbon disulphide, slightly soluble in strong acid.At 600 ℃ is decomposed into the Ca and H2. Decomposition under the influence of water release hydrogen at the same time, also can react with ethanol to produce calcium hydrogen and ethanol. Reduction of metal oxides more strongly than sodium hydride or lithium hydride. React with water to produce H2 gas. CaH2 has by above method, the high heat generated.Used as a reducing agent in organic synthesis and condensing agent, also used as a desiccant and hydrogen production of materials.
