Soluble in ethanol, ethyl ether, chloroform and non-volatile oil, almost insoluble in water and glycerin.Strong sweet fruit aroma, similar to pineapple aroma, also like the fruit, linalyl acetate are sweeter than caproic acid allyl ester and round, and taste fresh, fruit, sweet like pineapple.Used as a food additive the commonly used spices, beverage, candy, food industry is also used in cosmetics industry and pharmaceutical industry, such as the total synthesis of vitamin A in the process of an important intermediates.
