Almost insoluble in water, easily soluble in ethanol, propylene glycol, vegetable oil.Has strong lasting cream sweet characteristic, is an important raw material of modulation, milk and butter flavor, but also widely used in deployment of coconut, strawberry, peach and other spices. Ding decyl lactone in margarine and ice cream, soft drinks, candy, baked food and seasoning in a large number of applications.
