Research shows that Lomofungin (U-24792) inhibits the activity of the RNA polymerase by chelating bivalent cations. It has been demonstrated that Lomofungin (U-24792) can inhibit DNA-dependent RNA polymerase purified from Escherichia coli and that it does not affect proteins
