Product description:White or light yellow scaly crystalline. Soluble in water, ethanol, ether and carbon tetrachloride.Thiophene in 85% phosphoric acid using acetic anhydride acylation, 2 - acetyl thiophene. 2 - acetyl thiophene, 95% ethanol, sulfur powder and ammonia under 140 ℃ and 1.4 MPa transposition to generate 2 - thiophene acetamide, then add hydrochloric acid hydrolysis in 80-90 ℃ 1.5 h, the refined and 2 - thiophene acetic acid.1. The goods is antimicrobial drugs cephalothin Ⅰ and cephalothin Ⅱ intermediate. 2. Used as the material of synthesis of cefalotin. Because of the low activity than thiophene acetyl chloride, so not commonly used.
