Agrimonolide , also known as Long grass shoots. Colorless columnar crystals. Melting point 173 ~ 175 ℃. Rotation +8.1 °. Soluble in ethanol, ether and hot benzene, insoluble in petroleum ether. Material present in the Rosaceae Long buds with grass [Agrimonia pilosa Ledeb. Var japonica (Miq.) Nakai] the whole plant. This product can reduce the contraction of isolated rabbit intestinal amplitude and tension, so that bowel movement to stop in a relaxed state, and can inhibit the in vivo mouse intestinal peristalsis.
