Flash point (cup) 121 ℃. Can miscibility with water, but soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, slightly soluble in ether. Has the water absorbability, taste bitter.A kind of important organic chemical and fine chemical raw materials, is the production of poly (butyl glycol terephthalate (PBT) engineering plastics and the basic raw material of PBT fiber; PBT plastic is one of the most promising five engineering plastics.
