Soluble in ethanol and ether, soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid, not soluble in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.Is mainly used in the production of optical fiber and raw material of high-purity germanium dioxide etc. Also used in microwave preparation Ge2Cl6, a colorless crystalline material, low germanium compounds for deeper research.
