In addition, crotonaldehyde and butadiene reaction of epoxy resin can be obtained from raw materials and epoxy plasticizer. With pentaerythritol into four alcohol reaction heat resistant resin raw materials can be obtained. Crotonaldehyde can also be used for preparing dressing with foaming agent; Dye and rubber antioxidant; Pesticides and military chemicals. Industrial-grade crotonaldehyde was actually trans-isomer and isomer of mixture [4170-30-3]. But the cis isomer is not stable, content is less than 1%.
